Attrition: An Automatic Airsoft Guns Game

Airsoft guns are a cheap and easier alternative to paintball guns. There are many games Automatic Airsoft Gunand competitions that can be played with airsoft guns. “Attrition” is a game that is best suited for automatic airsoft guns games, but can certainly be played with other types.

Most airsoft guns games work on the honor system. When a player is hit, they are expected to call themselves out. Sometimes that’s a problem, because if a player is running, or is distracted, they may not even feel the shot. Sometimes the marshals see the shot, and call the player out, and sometimes they can’t. Attrition is a game that solves that problem through
a different method.

In an attrition type of airsoft guns game, a player isn’t necessarily out with only one shot. A player is only out when he calls on his opponent to stop shooting, because he can’t take anymore pain. The object, then, is to pump enough plastic into get them to call for mercy.

For those who have never experienced a shot from an airsoft gun, this game may sound dangerous or crazy. However, unless fired from a very close distance, a hit from an airsoft gun shot only stings for a second, and there are no lingering effects. The trick with attrition is to keep that stinging effect going until the player calls for mercy, and then, when the
player calls out, the stinging will stop.

Obviously, automatic guns are the most effective type of guns for this game. It’s hard to pump enough plastic into the opponent to make him call out unless you’re using an automatic gun. An automatic gun can fire as much as 2000 rounds per minute—that’s 33 rounds per second. You can see how it wouldn’t take very long for someone to call out for mercy.

Attrition is a game that can be a lot of fun, and eliminates
disagreements between players about whether they were hit.
